Some of yiou may not know already but the guys at divx labs (the guys who created the video google playback) created their own system for video playback but the system is different. This tutorial will takes some stuff out of the google video tutrorial because they are the same thing except for a few critical parts.
Please follow the Prepare the page directions on Google Page Creator Page all the way to Saving your page locally.
Upload the video
This is where it gets different. Upload your divx video on your page manger. If you don't know how to do that you shouldn't be here. I am uploading a Super bowl commerical. Make sure the file is under 10megs cause that is what googles uplad limit is. You will need the path location for the next step. If you uploaded a video called vacation.avi the path would be http://yourname.googlepages.com/vacation.avi.
Creating the Embed Code
Divx labs so graciously made a tool for you to use that automactically makes what you need. Its located at http://labs.divx.com/node/52. If you would like the sdk go to http://download.divx.com/player/DivXWebPlayer_WebmasterSDK.zip (advance users only)
The
site gives you various imput lines. The path of the file. The
resolution of the video. If your video wont fit on your site you can
lower the resolution here. It won't alter your video at all. Most of
the options are self explantory. Click on generate.
The output should look a little like picture on the left. Copy and paste that code in the code block you created in my previous tutorial.
Upload the page into the page creator and view it. It will ask for a plug in. Install it and your set to go. The divx web player should look a little like the picture on the right.
